About EVGA Supernova 1200 P3, 80 Plus Platinum 1200W, Fully Modular, Eco Mode
Overall Feedback:
87% positive
86% appreciated the efficiency rating
After upgrading to this PSU, my computer's power efficiency increased significantly.
The power supply's high efficiency, modular cabling, and small footprint made it the perfect choice for my HTPC build.
81% highlighted the modularity, while 19% didn't
The power supply is fully modular and can support 2 CPUs with 2 CPU ports.
I can use all the different cables that came with the power supply for a clean install and have enough power for future upgrades and some overclocking when I get the hang of it.
After a month of usage, I was getting random reboots despite the good modular design of the internal power supply.
82% liked the power output stability, but 18% didn't
I noticed that the PSU does not provide a stable load.
I have experienced that the PSU shuts down instantly when using more than 50% of the unit capacity. I have tried with ECO mode ON and OFF, and swapped every modular cable I could, but the issue persisted.
Sometimes the switches cannot be made fast enough by our power supply.
80% were satisfied with protection features
I'm not usually one to review products, but this one deserves to be highlighted for its safety features.
83% found the operations silent, while 17% experienced weird noises
In ECO mode, the fan in my PSU remains silent at low power.
The power supply is completely silent no matter the type of game or how hot it is.
Installing the CPU pins 4+4 and 24pin ATX (20+4) in pre-built systems is difficult as they do not have a clip to hold them together.
