Overall Feedback:
80% positive
68% appreciated the cooling mechanism, however 32% struggled
I have complained that the cooling fan in this PSU is extremely loud and it gets too hot even when the PC is at idle.
The cooling fan in this PSU is too loud and gets too hot even when the PC is at idle.
74% appreciated the efficiency rating, yet 26% faced issues
The unit is reliable, quiet and future-ready.
The efficiency rating of my internal power supply is not up to the mark, especially for the 5v standby voltage, which is lower than my 750w EVGA NEX bronze.
73% highlighted the modularity, while 27% didn't
The power supply is perfect for a mid to high range gaming build with a fully modular design to reduce clutter. It comes with all the necessary cables.
This power supply has a fully modular design, allowing me to connect only necessary cables for a clean and efficient system build.
The power supply provides ample wattage for my power-hungry components without breaking a sweat.
The modularity of the internal power supply is great, but I should be careful with the new connectors and not plug anything in if I dont know exactly what its for. I also had a personal experience of nearly frying my board a few times by putting round pegs in square holes because I thought I was smarter than ATX 3.0.
77% liked the power output stability, but 23% didn't
The RM1000es power output is impressive and provides ample wattage for power-hungry components without any issues.
The power supply runs quietly 90% of the time and has improved my build's stability from good to great.
My GPU has a 'hum' or 'whining' sound at mid level RPM, causing micro frame drops and a matching pitch change.
73% were satisfied with protection features, yet 27% weren't
The safety protection feature of our internal power supply trips and causes our computer to reboot from BIOS.
74% found the operations silent, while 26% experienced weird noises
At idle, the PSU consistently makes a high pitch annoying rattling noise and it becomes worse when the fan kicks in.
When the fan is not running, the power supply is quiet, but it makes a noticeable noise every few minutes when it kicks in.
I can hear the fan bearing whine constantly.
I have a constant loud coil whine that never stops on my brand new build.
I have complained that the cooling fan in this PSU is extremely loud and it gets too hot even when the PC is at idle.
The cooling fan in this PSU is too loud and gets too hot even when the PC is at idle.
I have noticed that the power supply has a Zero RPM Fan Mode which ensures a quiet computing experience. The fan remains idle until the power supply reaches a certain temperature or load, keeping noise levels to a minimum.
