About Corsair RM1000x Shift Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
67% appreciated the efficiency rating, yet 33% faced issues
I noticed that the power supply couldn't handle the load of our power hungry system, even though we had 230 watts to spare in theory.
67% highlighted the modularity
The power supply unit (PSU) has internal power supplies that are modular and all outputs face the non-glass side panel.
The modular design of our PSU is welcome for cable management.
72% liked the power output stability, but 28% didn't
Despite having 230 watts to spare theoretically, I found that the power supply was not able to handle the load of my power hungry system.
70% were satisfied with protection features, yet 30% weren't
The cables of this power supply are strong and stiff with protection in the proper places.
The power supply kicks in the over current protection before I can even boot up, indicating malfunctioning protection features.
75% found the operations silent, while 25% experienced weird noises
I dislike the fact that there is no selection switch for the fan zero-rpm eco mode. I prefer the fan to always be on, as heat is the enemy of electrical component longevity and a ML fan is virtually silent at low rpm.
I have complained that the cooling fan in this PSU is extremely loud and it gets too hot even when the PC is at idle.

I am impressed with the cooling mechanism of the internal-power-supplies as it boasts of a zero RPM mode and I don't even know it's there.
