Overall Feedback:
93% positive
89% appreciated the cooling mechanism
The Corsair cx650m power supply has a cool exhaust air and a barely audible fan at idle. The fan speed remains constant from 0 to nearly 400W, as advertised by Corsair.
I put the system on full load to check strain on the PSU and did not notice any spots with high temperature, indicating that the cooling mechanism of the PSU is effective.
93% appreciated the efficiency rating, yet 7% faced issues
I compared the efficiency of the two power supplies at low power levels and found them practically identical and quite good by any standard. All the Corsair CX-M units have glowing reviews after very picky examination and testing.
My system consumes around 40w at idle and 80w with light gaming, so any power supply should comfortably run it.
I had no issues with the power supply unit (PSU) for 2 years of decent use.
I built a gaming computer for my wife in 2013 with the exact same model power supply.
95% liked the power output stability
My system runs at around 40w on the outlet and won't go over 80w with light gaming, so literally any power supply should comfortably run it.
I was able to increase the overclocks of my CPU and GPU with lower temperature thanks to a cleaner power supply.

I have complained that the cooling fan in this PSU is extremely loud and it gets too hot even when the PC is at idle.

I have noticed that the power supply has a Zero RPM Fan Mode which ensures a quiet computing experience. The fan remains idle until the power supply reaches a certain temperature or load, keeping noise levels to a minimum.
