I appreciate the well-designed internal layout of the power supply, which helps with cooling for a given fan speed, noise level, or output power.
I had a previous PSU that made a lot of noise, but I got used to it over the years. With this be quiet PSU, I am very happy with the silence of it. Even when pushing it pretty hard it never gets louder than my radiator fans and they are very quiet. I cannot put into words how peaceful my office is now.
When I put the PSU in the case with good airflow, it shuts down within 5-45 mins, but it works fine outside the case.
