About Apevia ATX-PR600W Prestige 600W 80+ Gold Certified
Overall Feedback:
77% positive
87% liked the power output stability, but 13% didn't
The power supply delivers wattage flawlessly and handles power fluctuation well.
I have not faced any issues with the power supply.
Under the same stress test conditions, I tested the Apevia unit and it consistently held 12V with almost no fluctuations.
The power supply worked fine for 6 months but then it completely cut out in the middle of a game.
75% found the operations silent, while 25% experienced weird noises
I have good hearing and can't hear the system even during extended stress tests.
The PSU works well and is surprisingly quiet.
The sound level of this power supply is on par or even quieter than my previous one.
I recently learned that PCs are supposed to be quiet, but the PSU I bought always sounds like it is trying to render a huge file or play a high-res game.
I have noticed that the PSU fan is loud and compared it with other fans in my build. I am a stickler for quiet PCs and this negative feedback is based on my personal experience with the internal power supply's silent operations feature.
80% highlighted the modularity, while 20% didn't
I recommend getting a modular power supply as it allows you to choose which cables to plug in, avoiding the mess of cables that come with a non-modular power supply.
90% appreciated the efficiency rating
The power supply design is up-to-date and efficient with small components, indicating the use of higher switching frequency, possibly due to recent semiconductors.
The power supply is efficient with an 80 GOLD rating and stays cool and quiet.
75% appreciated the cooling mechanism
I feel like the exhaust is blowing cold air instead of hot.
The power supply is not modular, so I have to tuck away the unused cables.
