The signal strength has improved and now stays on the 5 GHz band instead of downgrading to the 2.4 band, resulting in 10 times the speed when I am further away from the access point than before.
Installing the card is easy if you know what you are doing. It's advised to install the drivers before adding it to the motherboard for a smooth experience.
I recommend this wifi adapter to anyone with a low profile computer and/or anyone wanting a solid Linux compatible wifi adapter after using it for an hour.
