About Ubit AX WiFi 6 WiFi Card Dual Band 3000 Mbps AX200 PCIE Wireless WLAN WiFi Card
Overall Feedback:
92% positive
86% liked its seamless compatibility
The card is backwards compatible with last generations AC routers.
It was easy to install and provides 5-GHz connectivity via 802.11AC.
Installing it on both computers was very easy.
WiFi and Bluetooth modules were recognized and worked flawlessly on Debian/Ubuntu/Linux Mint, kernel version 5.3.x.
85% appreciated its rock-solid reliability, though 15% experienced frequent disconnections
The device provides around 300Mbps throughput at around 50% signal strength, which is about 50Mbps higher than my 802.11ac card with lower latency.
I had no problem pulling the full speed and it was stable the entire time.
I am concerned about the durability of the internal networking card as it barely reaches the motherboard USB connection and needs to be bent with force behind the graphics card.
I am concerned about the internal networking card getting too hot and failing, which could be due to a bus or transistor issue and is a problem with the build quality.
I am having all parts independently tested except the Ubit AX200, which I already know caused the problem.
88% found it easy to install
The installation was easy with great instructions including pictures.
I found it easy to install and it works perfectly.
I installed it on my Windows 10 machine with an AMD CPU and it was recognized without installing drivers.
The installation was very easy and the computer recognized it after plugging it in.
90% praised for its lightning-fast speeds
The device provides around 300Mbps throughput at around 50% signal strength, which is about 50Mbps higher than my 802.11ac card with lower latency as well.
I had issues with buffering on HD videos with Cat5 cable, but this card along with upgraded Cat8 cable works perfectly with 4k videos.
After unplugging the wires and running wirelessly, I got an average speed of 190+ Mbps on speedtest.net and other speed test sites like Google and Xfinity averaged between 190-200Mbps.
My PC was the furthest from the router and I had no issue pulling the full speed which was stable the entire time.
I recommend this wifi adapter to anyone with a low profile computer and/or anyone wanting a solid Linux compatible wifi adapter after using it for an hour.
