About TP-Link AC1200 PCIe WiFi Card for PC (Archer T5E) - Bluetooth 4.2, Dual Band Wireless Network Card
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
92% liked its seamless compatibility, but 8% had trouble with driver installation
I personally experienced that the WiFi card was immediately hooked up during the install of Windows 10 and the install was flawless, indicating that the tablet is user-friendly.
The card was detected by both OSs without any driver installation or configuration needed.
The adapter is compatible with Linux and can be connected wirelessly.
I found an open 4-pin USB header and lined up the missing pin spot with the 9-pin cable supplied. I tested Bluetooth by pairing a speaker and it worked.
Both 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi work great even with the router on the other side of the house through many walls.
I bought a card with integrated bluetooth, but it is not working properly.
93% appreciated its rock-solid reliability, though 7% experienced frequent disconnections
The Wi-Fi card picks up signals strongly, even through 6 walls and 100 feet away from the router.
The product works great for me and maintains high speeds without any performance issues.
For large downloads, my connections are rock solid and when playing competitive games and shooters, my pings are within 1-2ms of my PC on LAN.
I found the first internal-networking-card to be unreliable with poor speeds 99% of the time.
94% found it easy to install
It was an easy install and plug and play. I moved my desktop to a room with no Ethernet jack and this was the easiest option to get internet.
The installation process was easy and the start-up disk did all the work.
93% praised for its lightning-fast speeds, while 7% experienced connectivity issues
For me, the mini-SMA antennas mounted to the card bracket are perfect since I need to carry the testbed around. But fixed desktop users may get better performance with one of the cards with remote antenna assemblies.
I faced issues with the internal-networking-cards. Most drivers were unreliable and had slow speeds. The Realtek driver fixed the issue mostly. 2.4 GHz was always fast, but 5 GHz sometimes slow. I fixed it by unscrewing one antenna, turning off wifi, screwing it back in, and turning wifi back on.
I personally experienced that the WiFi card was immediately hooked up during the install of Windows 10 and the install was flawless, indicating that the tablet is user-friendly.
This card works perfectly fine in my DELL SFF tower machine DELL OPTIPLEX 390 and I have never faced any network drop issue even when the router and modem are 50 feet away.
