About ipolex 10Gb PCI-E Network Card NIC Compatible for Intel X540-T2, Dual RJ45 Copper Port
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
90% liked its seamless compatibility
I bought the card because it is compatible with VMWare ESXi 7.
Our desktop systems are connected to the switch using CAT8 cabling and 6COM 6C-SFP-10G-T SFP+ 10G RJ45 Adapters, which have dual 10G NICs.
83% appreciated its rock-solid reliability, though 17% experienced frequent disconnections
The internal-networking-cards are finicky and not for novices, which makes them difficult to offer in very few places.
91% found it easy to install
I found the card easy to install and the drivers easy to get working.
Installing the card in two machines, running cables, attaching adapters, and installing a switch took about an hour and was easy.
After swapping the tall bracket with the included low-profile bracket, I was able to slip the card right into the Synology NAS and it was recognized on bootup.
I was able to easily install the card and ESXi without any issues.
85% praised for its lightning-fast speeds
I ran an iperf3 test with jumbo frame enabled on the switch and increased the frame size on the two PCs, resulting in a 9.83 Gbps transfer rate.
It is plug and play with no issues on a Wintel machine and now on an old H81 based system running Proxmox, so Linux users should not have any problems.
The internal-networking-cards are compatible with our system as the Ethernet connection showed 10000 Mb/s immediately.
