I bought this hard drive to upgrade my PS3 and it works perfectly with a huge amount of space for downloading games.
I successfully booted my Mac from the boot CD, formatted the Toshiba hard drive, reloaded OS X Lion, and restored from TimeMachine backup. Now, I am able to use my Mac again.
