I haven't had much issue with leakage, but one time a 24 oz one was leaking and the lid didnt look damaged. So, I replaced the straw and it worked. I recommend to always try replacing the straw first, as they come with more than one straw.
Sometimes the rubber inside gets out of place and the bottle leaks, but it can be fixed by putting it back in position.
