About Hosa YPP-117 1/4" TRS to Dual 1/4" TSF Stereo Breakout Cable
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
73% liked the secure and reliable connections, while 27% experienced loose connections
This cable is correctly wired and great for connecting to guitar amps with a TRS effects loop.
The cable sends a stereo signal left/right.
I have complained that the connector is faulty. Any little touch or wiggle of the female connectors would trigger the attached switch due to loose internal connection. I can only imagine what an audio signal would sound like on the output end of this.
I regret not reading the cable description before buying it.
73% praised for its crystal-clear signal, while 27% experienced interference
I have noticed that this cable sends a stereo signal left/right.
I read wrong reviews that the cable would split the signal of a Roland TD-9 dual trigger pad into two separate monos (head and rim separated).
71% appreciated its wide compatibility, though 29% experienced compatibility issues
This cable is correctly wired and great for connecting to guitar amps with a TRS effects loop.
Each female jack is mono, with one for left channel and the other for right channel.
I have complained that the connector is faulty and any little touch or wiggle of the female connectors would trigger the attached switch.
I experienced connection issues despite using a larger plug.
68% found it extremely durable, though 32% encountered fraying
I am experiencing intermediate connection issues despite the plug being beefier. The cables are defective.
I bought this cable for a specific music performance application that requires rock-solid connectors. I needed a 1/4 TRS male (stereo) to dual 1/4 female mono connectors, basically breaking out a stereo signal into two discrete mono signals.
68% liked its flexibility and ease of handling, but 32% found it too stiff
The cable has each leg labeled 'tip send' and 'ring return', which is exactly what I need to use effects pedals in a loop going back to the preamp. It's inexpensive, works great, and having the legs labeled is awesome.
The cable is correctly wired and great for connecting to guitar amps with a TRS effects loop.
The plugs on the item I received were much larger than necessary.
65% praised for its effective shielding, though 35% detected signal degradation
I bought this cable for a specific music performance application that requires rock solid connectors. However, I have complained that the internal connection of the cable is loose and any little touch or wiggle of the female connectors would trigger the attached switch.
I have used many Hosa cables over the years and never had a problem, indicating their durability.
