About DAddario Accessories Cable, Black, 10 feet (PW-CGTRA-10)
Overall Feedback:
77% positive
71% liked the lightweight and easy-to-handle design
I bought a few of these cables to use in a church environment where things get abused more than I would like, and so far they have held up well.
71% appreciated its wide compatibility, though 29% experienced compatibility issues
The cable I prefer is cheaper and non-gold plated, although it may not have the same capacitance and noise rejection as the Planet Waves American Stage cable.
I had the same problem even after switching the cable.
I would not use this type of cable on stage as it is not robust enough to handle being coiled and uncoiled and walked on.
I experienced signal fading repeatedly while using the cable and had to wiggle it to get the signal back. I tried several backup cables and they worked fine without any loss of signal or cut-off.
70% liked the secure and reliable connections, while 30% experienced loose connections
After 22 months of light use in my studio, I have complained that the connection at the right angle plug is bad due to an internal problem with the connector.
After 6-7 months of light use at home, the cable started to cut out.
I had to wiggle the cable to get the signal back as it kept fading. Other cables worked fine.
I have noticed that the right angle end of the cable has a problem and the signal goes through intermittently.
73% found it extremely durable, though 27% encountered fraying
I am satisfied with the quality and functionality of the product and found no flaws or problems. Based on my experience, I can say that.
I have purchased a few cables and found that they generally last about a year before needing replacement due to factors such as stress from plugging and unplugging, shorts where the cables flex, and general degradation.
I prefer the cheaper non-gold plated cable because the gold plating wears off after repeated insert/remove process and it is not useful unless the socket is also gold plated.
I noticed that the instrument-cables are not as durable as they usually are.
After 6-7 months of light use at home, the cable began to cut out.
69% liked its flexibility and ease of handling, but 31% found it too stiff
The cable is not robust enough to handle being coiled and uncoiled and walked on, so I would not use it on stage.
82% appreciated the ideal length and portability, though 18% found it too short
I need a short 5 cable for my new traveller guitar.
I was concerned about the light gauge and feel of the cable when I received it.
69% praised for its effective shielding, though 31% detected signal degradation
I found out through research that the amp is sensitive to surrounding electronics and requires shielded instrument cables to limit electrical interference.
I bought a few of these to use in a church environment and they have held up well despite being abused more than I would like.
The cable sounds good with less noise floor than Warwick cables and more clarity than Warwick & Bespeco cables.
While using the cable, I noticed that the signal faded repeatedly. However, other cables did not have any issues with the signal.
The cable is not robust enough to handle being coiled and uncoiled and walked on. I would not use it on stage.
I bought two cables in June and they both stopped working within weeks of each other, indicating poor shielding.
69% praised for its crystal-clear signal, while 31% experienced interference
I noticed that there is no feedback when using this instrument cable with my amplifier, foot pedal and RC-3 loop station.
When using this instrument cable with my amplifier, foot pedal and RC-3 loop station, there is no feedback.
The signal quality of the cable is poor and it keeps fading repeatedly. I tried to fix it by wiggling the cable but it still had the same issue. Other cables worked fine. Based on my experience, it is a poor quality cable.
After 22 months of light use in my studio, I noticed that the connection at the right angle plug is bad. The problem seems to be internal to the connector.
The connectors and shielding on these cables are good and do not introduce much noise into our system, indicating that the cable is compatible with our instrument.
After using this cable, my son's electric guitar amp is back to sounding brand new, indicating its compatibility with the instrument.
