I am surprised by how smear-proof the ink is. Although the gel ink feels very liquid as I write, it does not smudge when wiped with a finger.

The Dr. Grip center of gravity refill in my right pen fits perfectly, works well, and does not leak. The little black cap on the end of the ink cartridge prevents leaks, unlike other Pilot ink refills made for other Dr. Grip pens and other pens by Pilot, which leak when used in a weighted center of gravity pen.
