Industrial Heat-Shrink Tubing
Experiential insights by users
About XHF 1/2 Inch 10Ft 3:1 Waterproof Heat Shrink Tubing
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
74% liked the strong adhesive bonding, but 26% experienced peeling
The glue feature works well, but the seller is misleading buyers by stating it's a 3:1.
I noticed that the glue sticks out weirdly from the end and has almost no give once it shrinks.
67% appreciated the excellent chemical resistance
I believe this product is well-suited for industrial or heavy-duty applications due to its chemical resistance.
72% found it very flexible and easy to use, but 28% experienced brittleness
I expected the heat shrink tubing to be more flexible once shrunk.
Once shrunk, these heat shrink tubes are not very flexible.
68% appreciated the excellent insulation properties, though 32% found them lacking
This product is great for industrial or heavy-duty applications with good insulation properties.
I have been working with heat shrink tubing for 40 years and have never seen bad material length shrinkage and diameter shrinkage like this.
I find that the shrink tubing glue is too thin and does not fill all voids, making it difficult to create a waterproof connection.
77% appreciated the excellent shielding effectiveness
I smeared the connector with silicone and put the heat shrink tubing over it, ensuring that the silicone coats everything when it gets heat shrunk from the middle to the outsides.
The tube shrinks tightly and the glue/waterproofing comes out a little at the ends.
72% praised the consistent shrink ratio, while 28% experienced inconsistent results
I noticed that the shrink ratio is less than 2:1, not 3:1 as advertised.
The material length and diameter shrinkage is a bad part of the product. I have been working with heat shrink tubing for 40 years and have never seen length shrinkage like this.
I measured the tubing thickness before and after shrinking and found it to be approximately 1mm thicker after shrinking.
I tried different methods and read reviews, but was about to give up. However, I got frustrated and used high heat, and it shrunk up quickly without overheating the surrounding wires.

I used this heat shrink tubing to stabilize the old brittle cloth and rubber insulation in the electrical boxes in my home. It feels at least as thick/durable as factory wire insulation and shrinks MORE than 3:1 in diameter without losing ANY length at the low setting of my heat gun.
