About Rocsuk Heat Shrink Tubing Kit + Mini Heat Gun for Shrink Tubing
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
77% liked the strong adhesive bonding, but 23% experienced peeling
I noticed that the heat gun started to melt itself after a short period of use. It also had a plastic smell and the metal part shifted.
The heat gun melted and had a plastic smell with a shifted metal part.
The heat shrink tubing shrunk 2:1 as advertised, but there was still a gap to get the cable in contact with it after shrinking. This indicates that its adhesive strength may not be strong enough.
72% appreciated the excellent chemical resistance, though 28% experienced degradation
I tried to use the 2:1 ratio heat shrink tubing from the kit to fix my USB cable with a cut and loose end, but the cable was too small in diameter compared to the tubing size.

I attempted to fix my USB cable with the 2:1 ratio heat shrink tubing from the kit, but the cable was too small for the tubing size.
81% found it very flexible and easy to use, but 19% experienced brittleness
I advise not to use the heat gun for extended periods of time as it may melt itself, although it still works.
76% appreciated the excellent insulation properties, though 24% found them lacking
I used the 2:1 ratio heat shrink tubing from the kit for my USB cable that had a cut and loose end. However, the cable was too small in diameter compared to the tubing size I could slide over the USB port connector. The heat shrink definitely shrunk 2:1 as advertised, but there was still a gap to get my cable in contact with the heat shrink tubing after shrinking it. So I wrapped it in electrical tape which seemed to do the trick and my cable charges fine now.
I noticed that when I used the heat gun for a bit longer than normal, it started to melt itself and emitted a plastic smell. The center of the heat gun also shifted. Therefore, it seems that the insulation properties of the heat gun are not good.

When I used the heat gun for a longer period, it started to melt and emitted a plastic smell. The center of the heat gun also shifted, indicating poor insulation properties.
81% praised the consistent shrink ratio

The heat gun melted and had a plastic smell with a shifted metal part.
I noticed that the glue inside the tubing sealed the end well, indicating good adhesive strength.
