About FoodSaver 2129973 Preserve & Marinate 10 Cup Vacuum Seal -Container
Overall Feedback:
81% positive
71% appreciated the tight seal, however 29% found it difficult to open
I cannot rephrase this sentence as it is already in third person.
69% praised the attractive design, but 31% preferred a simpler look
The container came in a generic brown box and I thought it was counterfeit. I recently bought some at Walmart in the colored original box and it was the same cheap quality.
I am disappointed with the design and aesthetics of the container. I expected a tool that would vacuum seal the bowl, but instead, I only got a bowl and a lid, and the actual sealing mechanism is sold separately and costs almost four times as much. This has left me with air-tight containers that are not air-tight unless I want to spend an additional $129, which I consider to be scandalous.
I have complained that the new rolls have directional air channels, which is different from the old rolls that worked well in keeping the seal with non-directional air channels.
72% found it easy to clean, yet 28% struggled
I suggest putting the dog food into lunch bags before vacuum sealing to prevent it from becoming loose. This method has worked for me as the bags remained hard even after a week.
71% appreciated the leak-proof design, but 29% experienced leaks
Within 24 hours, vacuum sealed bags were no longer hard and the food inside was moving around loose.
72% praised the high-quality material, but 28% didn't
The container feels sturdy for a plastic item with gussets for strength on the underside.
I am disappointed with the quality of the material, especially the last roll of plastic that came pre-wrinkled, which is not ideal for a good seal.
61% praised the odor-resistant feature, but 39% noticed lingering smells
The product did not vacuum seal with my Food Saver device.
77% liked the convenient portability, whereas 23% found it bulky
I noticed that the lid is more flexible than the older version.
The lid is more flexible than the older version.
76% were satisfied with the space saving design, but 24% weren't
The container is well designed and reinforced, but it shrinks and expands quite a bit, which could be a concern for me in terms of its space saving design.
74% appreciated the versatile usage, while 26% found it specialized
I have complained that the new rolls have directional air channels, limiting the product's versatility. The old bags and rolls were non-directional, allowing me to make bags of any size and in any direction I wanted.
I have used the container to store different types of pasta like spaghetti, linguini, and some loose random shaped pasta along with boil in a bag pasta.
I am disappointed with the airtightness of the container for plastic wrapped cheese slices.
