The ice is actually pellets about 1/2” long and 1/4” in diameter.
I was able to fill my ice bin in the freezer in less than 24 hours, indicating that the ice maker can produce a large quantity of ice.
I noticed that the unit only produced about 3 cups of ice and then kicked into 'Defrost' mode, constantly running water for 30 minutes and melting all of the ice.
