It is easy to remove the ice-cube-molds-trays by running water over the unit, taking off the top and popping the balls out. It works perfectly every time.
I can easily pop out the ice balls once they are frozen and store them in a ziplock bag to keep in the fridge and fill the tray for another run.
I used warm water to easily release the ice cubes from the top tray and the bottom tray has a flex spot to help push them out.
