I was worried about removing the ice-cube-molds-trays after seeing people having trouble with it, but I found it to be easy to remove. All you have to do is lift the tray and push each from the bottom to pop them out.
The big squares tray is made of a water tight, rubber-like material that is easy to flex to get the cubes out.
The cube tray starts out stiff, but becomes easier to extract the ice with frequent use.
