The replacement canister fits perfectly and includes a fresh O-ring for proper sealing.
I had to return the product because it caused the humidifier to stop running.

I used a vacuum with a PVC hose attachment to clean the burnt material from the reservoir, indicating that the humidifier-accessories are difficult to clean.

The filter quality is similar to Aprilaire ones.
I found rust particles in the failed canister which were not from the water system, indicating poor quality of the filter.
I noticed an error light on the humidifier and checked the conduction plates inside. One of the plates completely dissolved and left a black residue in the drainage port, while the other was covered in metallic fragments.
I noticed a small but noticeable leak at the bottom of the canister's o-ring. Even after replacing it with an extra, it still leaked, indicating poor filter quality.

I am unsure about how long the replacement canister will last, but I have no reason to doubt its performance.
I installed a cheaper version canister on October 18th for winter preparation. On January 4th, I noticed the Service Now light was glowing red on the humidifier. Normally, I get through winter with the OEM canister.
The canister failed after only 3 months of use.
It's time to change the canister as the Res service light is lit solid red.
I replaced the filter and it solved the issue entirely. The old filter was completely clogged and had not been changed for a long time, resulting in water running off it and onto the floor.
