I have a variable speed control to adjust the fan according to seasonal or heavy humidity use and it works perfectly.
I purchased a control unit that regulates the speed of the fan, indicating adjustable controls.
I suggest not buying the product because it lacks a speed controller and has low-mid power.
80% liked its powerful airflow, but 20% found it insufficient
The airflow capacity is not as per the specification. It feels closer to a 75 CFM bathroom exhaust fan. I expected higher air flow for the 40 Watts it is pulling.
The fan is weak and can only pull open the dampers less than 5 degrees, resulting in very little air flow.
I am disappointed with the low airflow of the fan. I could blow a breath stronger than it. The advertised 100 cfm is a joke, and I estimate it to be about 25-30 cfm range on its best day.
81% praised its long-lasting durability, but 19% experienced premature failure
I have noticed that the VIVOSUN Inline Booster Duct Fan is constructed with high-quality materials and built to withstand long-term use.
I have been running the fan for 12+ hours a day, 7 days a week for the last 6 months and it has proven to be durable.
This fan is durable and allows me to fix the system at a fraction of the price. Even if I have a fan failure, I can replace it easily for pennies to the dollar of the original motors.
I will be running it 24/7 and hope for good durability. I'll update if it fails.
84% found it easy to install
It was easy for me to install in my situation, but I wonder how it would be installed otherwise.
The installation process was super easy and took less than 45 minutes if I am handy.
Installing the fan in my unfinished basement ceiling was easy. I wonder how it could be installed otherwise.
I can install the fan easily in 45 minutes or less if I am handy.
The noise level is terrible and sounds like my neighbor is mowing the lawn. The vibration is probably caused by a misaligned blade, which is likely causing a lot of the noise.
The fan is very loud and annoying. It moves a reasonable amount of air but the noise level makes me not want to have it running.
I wish there was a control to change the fan speed as it produces very loud noise.
The fan was wired to turn on with the HVAC blower and it was deafening in my room.
66% were satisfied with its safety features, but 34% found them lacking
I want to warn you that the fan is not covered by insurance in case of a fire and it is known to catch fire.
I have found the control to have unbelievable variable speed and very fine adjustment control.
