About VIVOSUN 6 Inch Inline Duct Fan 240 CFM
73% appreciated the adjustable settings, but 27% found them confusing
When attached to a speed controller, I find the product to be highly adjustable with a long ramp up to high speed and very quiet.
I bought a speed control that solved the noise issue without restricting the duct.
I purchased a control unit that regulates the speed of the fan.
I purchased a power controller after reading reviews and was able to control the noise level. The exhaust fan worked perfectly.

80% liked its powerful airflow, but 20% found it insufficient
The airflow capacity is not as per the specification. It feels closer to a 75 CFM bathroom exhaust fan. I expected higher air flow for the 40 Watts it is pulling.
The fan is weak and can only pull open the dampers less than 5 degrees, resulting in very little air flow.
I am disappointed with the low airflow of the fan. I could blow a breath stronger than it. The advertised 100 cfm is a joke, and I estimate it to be about 25-30 cfm range on its best day.
81% praised its long-lasting durability, but 19% experienced premature failure
I have noticed that the VIVOSUN Inline Booster Duct Fan is constructed with high-quality materials and built to withstand long-term use.
I have been running the fan for 12+ hours a day, 7 days a week for the last 6 months and it has proven to be durable.
This fan is durable and allows me to fix the system at a fraction of the price. Even if I have a fan failure, I can replace it easily for pennies to the dollar of the original motors.
I will be running it 24/7 and hope for good durability. I'll update if it fails.
84% found it easy to install
It was easy for me to install in my situation, but I wonder how it would be installed otherwise.
The installation process was super easy and took less than 45 minutes if I am handy.
Installing the fan in my unfinished basement ceiling was easy. I wonder how it could be installed otherwise.
I can install the fan easily in 45 minutes or less if I am handy.

We draw the dust and fumes through a common furnace filter and vent them outside.
The fan works great at removing odors and excessive heat from my tents, which is beneficial for my plants.
I use the fan to remove smoke and fumes from soldering at my workbench.
The fan is great for the money and does not require carbon filter or speed controllers.

76% appreciated the versatile mounting options
I suggest installing the fan as close to the blower as possible, ideally right off the trunk line.
I found it easy to install the fan in the middle of two ducting tubes I had.
I incorporated the VIVOSUN Inline Booster Duct Fan into my grow tent setup and noticed an immediate difference.
76% liked how quiet it operated, but 24% found it too loud
The noise level is as expected for our 20-40CFM unit.
When the fan is down in the basement, I can barely hear the noise level.
I found the installation easy and the noise level as expected for a 20-40CFM unit.
When put up against the wall register, there is almost no noise coming from the fan. The noise level is negligible.

66% were satisfied with its safety features, but 34% found them lacking
I want to warn you that the fan is not covered by insurance in case of a fire and it is known to catch fire.
