About Tech Drive Very-Quiet 70 CFM, 2.0 Sone Bathroom Ventilation and Exhaust Fan
79% appreciated the adjustable settings, but 21% found them confusing
The fastening system is badly designed and the support arms are flimsy and rattling inside the guide on the chassis of the fan. The biggest issue is the unbalanced motor/squirrel cage moving air, which makes the whole fan body rattle. It is unbalanced by simply rotating it with your hand, resulting in a lot of vibration and noise.
69% liked its powerful airflow, but 31% found it insufficient
The fan does a decent job of moving air and is quiet, but it cannot move air through a long exhaust duct.
77% praised its long-lasting durability, but 23% experienced premature failure
I am very happy with the new fan because it is very quiet even though I am exhausted and hungry.
I feel that the product has a cheap feel and a louder noise than expected, but it still works well overall.
I warn that the installation process is awful and attic access is necessary to avoid voiding the warranty.
83% found it easy to install, but 17% had difficulties
I installed the fan myself with help and found it easy to install.
The output duct connector attachment makes it impossible to slide the unit into place through a correctly sized hole. Access to the space above/behind it is necessary.
91% appreciated its energy efficiency, though 9% weren't satisfied
I am happy with the new fan as it is very quiet, even though I am exhausted and hungry.
I had to make a wood block frame and drill into the housing to install the fan. This could have been avoided if the manufacturer designed a better mounting system for mounting from below.
I used a small sliver of paper to check if the fan was drawing air, but it was not.
74% liked the easy-to-clean design, but 26% found it difficult to maintain
I find the fan pleasant to hear with no motor sound, just a low, steady whoosh of air.
The fan works well in clearing the air of moisture.
I was happy with the new fan despite the effort it took to install it because it is very quiet.
The exhaust fan solved the problem of moisture fogging up the mirror or running down the wall while showering.

79% appreciated the mounting options, but 21% found them limited
The fan is not easy to install in an existing ceiling without access from above. Mounting tabs are located on the sides of the housing and need to be screwed into the side of a ceiling joist.
I need the mounting bracket on the opposite side because the joist is there and the current bracket is not sufficient.
I had to rig the other side of the fan with a screw into the ceiling drywall, suggesting that the mounting options may not be suitable for everyone.
90% liked how quiet it operated, but 10% found it too loud
This fan is hardly audible in my small bathroom and is a huge improvement over the original fans that could be heard on the other side of the house.
I bench-tested the fan in the room and found it to be extremely quiet while moving plenty of air.
The fan is louder than expected, advertised at .8 sones but seems louder than that.
