I put a fan speed controller switch on it and wired it into the wall of my room. At full speed, it's a bit loud, so I usually run it at half speed which works fine. If I need to cool things off quickly, I can switch it to full speed.
I adjusted the fan to blow in the opposite direction and switched the red and yellow wires. Now it works perfectly in the opposite direction.
