The fan is quiet enough for me to use while sleeping without any extraneous noises or chirps.
I use the fan next to my bed without oscillation on 1 or 2 speed setting to enjoy its "white noise" whirring sound while falling asleep. The noise level is not an issue for me personally.
I would like the fan to have a little more white noise while on, especially as it has 4 different speeds to accommodate my wants and needs.
