The fan is very quiet on its three lowest settings, and even when standing next to it, I can't hear anything. However, on setting 4, it starts to make some noise, which I describe as 'White Noise'. Despite this, I don't find the noise distracting and can still feel the breeze from 20 feet away.
I use the fan on lower settings during conference calls or Telepresence sessions because of my directional microphones, but my peers don't hear it, proving that the fan is quiet when needed.
