About OXO Good Grips Extendable Tub & Tile Brush,Orange
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
68% praised for its long-lasting scouring pad, though 32% found it fell apart quickly
The bristles are strong enough to clean and remove soap scum and hard water stains, yet soft enough to not damage the tub or tub surround.
The iron cue is adjustable in length and durable.
The brush head flops around and the brush density is useless for trapping dirt and grime even on the surface of the bathtub.
The brush is good and firm with good longevity, but it collects bacteria more than dirt and should have an included cleaner. I have a perfectly good brush that requires deep cleaning by hand and another hand tool to make it last, and it should last at this price.
I have noticed that water can get inside the handle and cause rust. It seems to be a common problem among others too.
Rephrased: Water getting inside the handle and causing rust is a common problem, as I have noticed and others have also mentioned.
If we mount the brush directly to the handle, the product will work fine for all purposes. However, the hinge between the brush and the handle makes it fail.
71% praised for its effectiveness, while 29% found it struggled with stubborn stains
I was able to remove the blue spots from the sink handles using vinegar, baking soda and this brush.
I find this extendable brush to be a life saver for cleaning the shower. The extendable pole and the head with bristles make it easy to reach all corners of the tub and clean the built-in shelves in the shower. The bristles are soft enough not to scratch or damage the tub or tub surround but strong enough to effectively clean and remove soap scum and hard water stains.
The scrubbing head tends to roll over when there is resistance and it takes a lot of effort to keep it on the surface.
69% liked the comfortable grip and handle, while 31% found it uncomfortable to hold
I am frustrated with the brush because it ruins the point of having a long-handled brush. If I had physical limitations, I would feel particularly aggrieved.
The handle of the brush feels unsturdy.
The swivel is too loose and has too much freedom of movement, making it difficult to use according to my preference.
Once the scrubbrush is positioned in one direction, I cannot hold it in that position, indicating poor grip comfort of the product.
66% like the perfect size, but 34% found it small
With the brush's extendable handle, I can easily reach all corners of the tile shower.
The head with bristles can move around to get into corners and crevices under the faucet and around the handles.
I experience back pain while using the bar as it is not quite long enough for me.
While scrubbing, the product would get into weird angles which did not work.
When I use the brush to clean the surface, the brush head flops back and forth, making it impossible to keep the bristles in contact with the surface. This could lead to surface safety issues.
I purchased the product to avoid injuring my knuckles while cleaning the shower, but found that the head of the product flipped up constantly on the uneven surface of the shower, making it ineffective.
If reasonable pressure is used, the brush flips up or under, which can be jarring on the body and damaging to the floor depending on the type of floor.
