The charger adapts to different battery shapes using springs.
I had to add more rubber feet for better clearance as the existing ones were too shallow.
I find the spring-loaded mechanism difficult to use and the springs a bit stubborn, indicating poor build quality of the charger.

The charging speed is comparable to an everyday charger but not as fast as a rapid charger.

The charging speed is fine, but the excessive heat concerns me.

The spring-loaded clip makes it very easy to add/remove batteries to the unit.
I found it to be working well as designed and it charges at a low rate to preserve battery life.
It's worth the investment despite having only one complaint.
I find the spring-loaded mechanism difficult to use as the springs are a bit stubborn. You have to push them exactly right, or else friction prevents them from moving.

76% liked the built-in safety features
I found that the charger has a safety feature that prevents it from charging a fully depleted battery. I had to use an alternate charger to either charge it completely or give it enough of a charge that the EBL charger will acknowledge it and finish the process. This feature works very well and without it, many of my batteries would be wasted.
I am pleased with the safety feature of the charging station switching over to trickle when the battery is fully charged, which protects the battery and its life span.
The AC converter circuitry is internal, so no external adapter is needed; it uses a simple Sony-style appliance AC cable.
The 9V battery doesn't have the same feature as the other batteries, but the flashing red light indicates when it's charging and goes out when it's ready.
