I don't believe the hot-air-brush gets to 470°. I've had expensive straighteners that went to 400 and felt hotter.
The hot-air-brush has 3 heat settings and I noticed that the low setting is actually high, medium is low and high remains high.
I have used the hot-air-brush and noticed that there are 3 temperature settings with multiple warnings about how hot it can get. I was wary of trying the highest temp setting as the brush head gets very hot at the base of the bristles while on the High setting.
When I turn the iron to high temperature, the handle gets very hot and it becomes difficult to hold.
