I am pleased with the compatibility of the hose with standard fittings and attachments. The gold couplings at either end and the additional black rubber external gasket help prevent leaks. I have experienced 'leak free' connections and each connection is accomplished with just a little twist of the wrist. The internal black rubber gaskets ensure a nice tight fit.
The female coupling was not attached to the hose and it was made defective.
