For remote sensor installation, the central thermostat needs to connect to the Internet and communicate with Ecobee servers, even though the sensors only communicate with the local thermostat via RF data comms.

Installing the two sensors was pretty easy from start to finish, taking about 30 minutes. I suggest that if you can see, you should be able to install the sensors in about five minutes or less each.
