About SIHOO Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
88% liked the recline functionality, but 12% didn't
I am accustomed to a reclining task chair with a headrest. When I recline in this chair, my head seeks a place to rest on, but it ends up arching back, leaving my head hanging.
91% appreciated the breathability
I find the chair very comfortable with the breathable mesh being an instantly noticeable upgrade over my previous leather chair.
86% highlighted the assembly and maintenance
I assembled the chair myself and found the shipping packaging to be done very well. It included a small, purple plastic part to cut the packing tape open and two white gloves to keep my hands clean during assembly. Overall, I am impressed with the assembly and maintenance features of this home-office-desk-chair.
Assembling the chair was straightforward and easy. All necessary tools and parts were included, and the instructions were easy to follow. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble the chair, with the hardest part being attaching the seat cushion to the back part. I recommend having two people to hold it steady if you are not strong enough.
The packaging and assembly of the chair were perfect. The contents were easily removed and unboxed. All the screws and washers were in a shrink-wrapped container with clear labels that matched the instruction sheet. Each screw/washer type included a spare. The instruction was on 1 simple page that was very clear and easy to follow. I assembled the chair myself and faced no issues while doing so.
91% were satisfied with the armrest adjustability, but 9% weren't
The armrests of this chair are adjustable in terms of width and height, and the tops can pivot inward and outward.
I would prefer armrests that curve slightly downward at the front instead of the flat profile currently provided. The armrests pivot horizontally and adjust vertically, allowing me to position them to support my arms correctly while typing. However, the armrest pads are barely cushioned and may prove uncomfortable over time.
I am accustomed to a reclining task chair with a headrest. When I recline in this chair, my head seeks a place to rest on, but it ends up arching back, leaving my head hanging.
I immediately felt how sturdy the chair was and was really happy about the head support. I spend 6-8 hours a day at a desk so comfort is paramount. The lumbar support is also great.
The armrests of the chair are adjustable but they move in and out very easily and not out of the way when raised. When leaning on them and moving your arm, the rest will swivel with you. They also protrude into your side when lifted up and you lean to the side. Thus, I suggest that the armrests should go back just a bit to clear the body.
The chair has two distinct modes for the armrests, adding to its versatility. When the armrests are up, I can sit more freely, cross my legs, or conveniently stow the chair under my desk when not in use. On the other hand, when the armrests are down, I can rest my arms on the soft, padded armrests, providing additional support and comfort during focused activities.
