About HON Ignition 2.0 Mesh Back Task Chair
Overall Feedback:
69% positive
71% liked the ergonomic design, but 29% raised issues
The ergonomics of the chair are pretty good, but I have to get used to it by fixing my back posture to get most of the benefits.
The seat back moves with me, which is interesting. I'm not sure if it's good or bad for long duration sitting. My back was quite sore after using this chair for a day, which is something I've never experienced with any other office chair.
I did not like the seat cushion. It was too thick and soft for me. After sitting for a while, I bottomed out the cushion and it hugged the backs of my legs, cutting off circulation to my lower legs. Additionally, the cushion tended to be overly warm due to lack of breath-ability.
The lumbar support is almost nonexistent and made of flimsy, thin plastic that deflects easily with very little pressure. It didn't provide any support for me and the shape of the seat back didn't help either.
73% were satisfied with the armrest adjustability
I found that the armrests can be easily adjusted in terms of width and height. The narrowest setting fits me most naturally, but they can go pretty wide as well. There are many different options for armrest height, so it was easy to fine-tune.
68% liked the recline functionality
I have found that the best feature of this chair is its ability to recline and compared it with other high-end gaming chairs. The mechanism allows for full range of motion in recline as well as a lock, but the added functionality of leaning back comes at a fault.
70% highlighted the assembly and maintenance
I assembled the chair and found that the major parts were packed in protective thick plastic. The tool to bolt the seat to the back was included. I had some difficulty snapping the wheels into the base, but I used a hammer to help.
The chair's ergonomic design is uncomfortable for me as the seat is shallow and dips down slightly at the front, causing the ergonomic back to push me out of the chair.
The chair has a soft texture and allows me to sit comfortably. I can sit straight or lay back with just the right amount of inclination.
