About Roland FP-30X Digital Piano with Built-in Powerful Amplifier and Stereo Speakers
Overall Feedback:
93% positive
91% liked the seamless app integration, but 9% encountered issues
The digital piano has an app that makes it easy to customize the sound.
I had no trouble pairing the keyboard to the Piano Every Day app, despite reading otherwise.
App integration is important for accessing features like raising the piano lid, setting tones, accessing the 100s of other tones, using the better metronome, otherwise, on keyboard controls severely limit the keyboard's potential.
85% praised the sleek and compact design
The keyboard has the same design as more expensive Roland models and the sound generator is almost identical.
The key feel is very close to real ivory, indicating that the design of the piano is good.
I have the same keyboard as the more expensive Roland models and the sound generator is almost exactly the same as well.
98% appreciated the key action, though 2% found them light
The key feel is very close to real ivory.
I find the piano to have good quality sound and touch, and it is a good value for weighted keys.
The key action is nice but loud. Without headphones, its sound can compete with you while playing quietly.
87% found the pedal functionality useful
I bought the Roland because of its pedal functionality and I am very satisfied with the outcome.
82% were satisfied with the portable design, while 18% weren't
The key touch is pretty decent for a complementary piano for training or portable use, comparable to my baby grand at home.
The piano is solid yet not too heavy, indicating its portability.
I had to sell my piano due to space reasons and thought I would never own one again. However, I missed it and now I'm back with this model.
I have never owned a keyboard that was at all portable before, and this isnt super portable but better than the Clav.
94% praised the sound quality, while 6% desired more
The sound quality is beautiful and it feels like playing an acoustic piano.
The sound quality is good and it's a good value for weighted keys. It also doesn't require regular piano tuning.
The sound quality is much better than the built-in sound of Korg D1 with a powerful speaker, but the keyboard is a bit lower.
This is my first digital piano and I had to get used to the fact that it does not sound or feel like an acoustical piano.
91% appreciated the connectivity options, though 9% wished more
The MIDI functions are simple and work, but there is only a USB MIDI connection. I own a new AKAI MPC 37, so I don't need an adapter.
I found a free app with drills and self-teach tutorials that my kids enjoyed using.
