About RockJam 88 Key Digital Piano with Full Size Semi-Weighted Keys
Overall Feedback:
84% positive
80% liked the seamless app integration
With the combination of the keyboard, headphones, midi cord, and SimplyPiano app, I am able to play at my own pace without disturbing anyone. It's amazing.
I appreciate the integration of this piano with an iPad app, which sets it apart in helping beginner players learn the piano.
86% appreciated the connectivity options, though 14% wished more
The digital piano has a convenient headphone socket at the front.
The Button edition lacks some features and ports present in the original edition, such as 2nd headphones output, USB port, and Mic input.
89% praised the sleek and compact design
The piano has a large bass subwoofer that gives the lower notes a deeper tone and the speakers give a fuller sound to all the keys.
I was happy to see that this piano came with a set of built-in speakers.
92% appreciated the key action, though 8% found them light
On a real piano, at least half of the key is inside the piano, making it easier to push on them when I'm near the top of the key.
I feel that the key action on the keyboard is not natural or piano-like, which may hold back my learning speed and make transitioning to a higher quality piano tricky.
81% were satisfied with the portable design
The keyboard is easily transportable and very light.
87% found the pedal functionality useful, but 13% thought it was sensitive
The keyboard does not output the sustain pedal to the MIDI data stream, so virtual instruments cannot be played with real expression.
92% praised the sound quality, while 8% desired more
I am disappointed with the sound quality of the piano. It is average at best and not as realistic as it should be with today's technology. The Grand Piano sound is the most realistic, but even that has an echoy quality.
With the combination of the keyboard, headphones, midi cord, and SimplyPiano app, I am able to play at my own pace without disturbing anyone. It's amazing.
I can learn lessons through an app, make demo recordings, and arrange music on the digital piano.
