I found that the bottom-most guide is formed wrong, making it impossible to slide one piece of paper, let alone six, into the correct position to punch the holes correctly.
The actual punches are not positioned in a way that allows consistent placement each time. When lining pages up along the bottom, the holes end up too high up the page.
