The optional 3S batteries are great for speed, but not really needed and almost overkill for this truck.
We found that the two batteries provided sufficient race time for me and my son.
I ran the 2s battery for a few minutes and then switched to a 3s battery.
I used the product for two months and it died after an hour and a half of use.
