About M.2 Heatsink SSD Cooler for PS5 PCIE NVME or SATA m2 2280 SSD CoolingBlack
Overall Feedback:
97% positive
97% liked the sleek design, but 3% found it unattractive
I highly recommend these heatsinks. They work great for PS5 or a PC without built-in heatsinks. The quality is fantastic for the price, I paid $11 total or $5.50 per assembly.
I have noticed that the heatsinks have some aesthetic issues such as thick paint, sharp burs near the screw cutout, and an uneven mating surface.
98% praised for its solid build quality, but 2% found it flimsy
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and thoughtfulness of the heatsink kit, especially given its affordable price.
After installing the heat sink, my operating and benchmark temperatures reduced between 10 and 20 Degrees C.
The paint is thick and there are sharp burs near the screw cutout. The mating surface is also not flat.
96% found it compatible with multiple platforms
Once I installed the heatsink, it fit perfectly inside the ASUS ROG Ally X with no issues.
96% praised for its excellent cooling performance
There is not much difference between stock and polished heatsinks. I also experienced an 18C drop in temps between uncooled and cooled under load.
Under heavy sustained load, my drives are running at 40-41C, indicating good cooling performance.
96% appreciated the advanced fan control features, but 4% found them overwhelming
I have noticed that the heatsink has improved the temperature control of my SSD. During typical desktop-browsing experience, the temperature stays at 38-39C and while playing Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Wildlands, it is capped at 41C and hovers around 40C throughout.
I tested the temperature of MX500 SSD with and without heatsink. The temperature is lower when the heatsink is attached.
After installing the heatsinks, my temperature went from low 40s to mid 30s, indicating good fan control.
When I ran a 6 times test with stock unmodified heat sinks, the drives reached 135F.
97% appreciated the easy installation process
Installing heatsinks was extremely easy and they worked well in dropping temperatures.
Installing the heatsinks is easy with clear instructions on where to place the thermal pads of different thicknesses.
Installing the heatsinks is easy and almost mistake-proof. Just remember to remove the plastic from the thermal pads during assembly.
Installing the heatsinks was easy and it made installing the m.2 with the heat sink on it easier.
I highly recommend these heatsinks. They work great for PS5 or a PC without built-in heatsinks. The quality is fantastic for the price, I paid $11 total or $5.50 per assembly.
I have found that the heatsink is slightly too long, but I made it work by aligning the notch with the RF input side and the flat side with the USB side of the dongle.
I recommend this product to those who are undecided because it just works well.
