I wanted to use this heatsink cooler in a new build, but due to a design flaw, I will not be using it.
I was disappointed with the original fan as it was loud.

I have complained that the heatsink is not long enough, leaving part of SSD chips uncovered, which is a design flaw.

I purchased the NewHall heatsink for my T700 Gen 5 SSD and saw remarkable results with a temperature drop of over 30 degrees.
I had to configure the UEFI for PCM mode and turn off smart sensing to run the fan at max at all times.
My main heatsink assembly is not long enough to cover the SSD.
84% praised for its excellent cooling performance, while 16% noticed marginal improvements
I purchased the NewHall heatsink for my T700 Gen 5 SSD and the results were remarkable, with a temperature drop of over 30 degrees.
I have noticed that the heatsink is not long enough, leaving part of the SSD chips uncovered which could lead to overheating and damage. However, the included aluminum passive heatsink covers the entire drive, allowing for heat dissipation of all chips on the drive.
93% appreciated the advanced fan control features
The combination of the NewHall heatsink with the Noctua fan is nearly flawless and deserves a solid four-star rating.
The heatsink keeps my drive cooler by cooling it.
86% appreciated the easy installation process, while 14% encountered difficulties
I purchased the NewHall heatsink for my T700 Gen 5 SSD and saw remarkable results.
I found the instructions unclear regarding how to seat the heatsink. I had to unscrew the retention ring from the opposite side, sandwich the aluminum plate in between, and then reattach it with the screw.
I highly recommend these heatsinks. They work great for PS5 or a PC without built-in heatsinks. The quality is fantastic for the price, I paid $11 total or $5.50 per assembly.
I have found that the heatsink is slightly too long, but I made it work by aligning the notch with the RF input side and the flat side with the USB side of the dongle.
I recommend this heat sink over any other for internal SSD installation in Playstation 5.
