I test the batteries once they arrive and consider the pack good if they last for 55 hours or 2 1/2 days. If it is less than that, I return the pack for a refund/exchange.
I tried 2 new batteries and the same thing happened. I tried them on the opposite side and the same thing happened. I tried another pack and all went well...they lasted about 2 days, but I am learning that not all packs are equal. Some work well and some do not. So now I am forced to carry about 3 to 4 packs just in case the batteries in one pack don't work.
I threw away 3-6 packs out of 10 packs of 6 batteries because some batteries were dead on arrival or lasted only for 2 hours instead of 8-12.
