About Qudelix-5K Bluetooth USB DAC AMP with LDAC
94% liked the long battery life
The battery lasts for about 13 hours on unbalanced and using LDAC with Bluetooth. I plugged it into my 5 volt 1 amp battery bank and it still played while charging. I won't use my old power bank again.
I have not extensively tested the battery life of the headphone-amp, but it seems to last for a good amount of time with high-quality streaming at max power.
89% liked the solid build quality
The unit feels like it is made from aluminum and has some weight to it, unlike the ES100 which is plastic.
95% appreciated the seamless connectivity
I can drive all my other headphones with ease through the 3.5mm output of the headphone-amp.
The Bluetooth connection and sound quality are outstanding. The app is a bit convoluted but still functional.
I tested the USB connection between my iPhone and 5K using an OTG cable and confirmed that it works with 96kHz/24bit lossless over USB. The 5K is recognized right away as a 96kHz/24bit audio output device on MacOS.
I compared the connectivity of 5K with ES100 and found that 5K has USB-C connection.
94% appreciated the portable design
The size and weight of the device are surprisingly convenient.
95% appreciated the ample power and gain
I got 10-11 hours of listening from an 80% charge using 3.5mm unbalanced with normal gain (1V RMS) and performance mode at the exact same listening volumes on the same IEMs.
The Qudelix 5k can easily power all my headphones and IEMs, ranging from Focal Elear, Moondrop Blessing 2, Moondrop S8, and even the Hifiman Sundara (though out of the 2.5mm balanced output), with a power rating of 80mw single ended and 240mw balanced (at 32 ohms).
The Qudelix provides more than adequate power for my high impedance headphones.
95% praised for its crystal-clear sound
For what I use them for, the sound quality on my headphones is quite good.
The sound quality is excellent.
I compared the sound quality with my other BT receiver Maceton WM4U and LG V20 phone. It sounded many times better than my other BT receiver and two or three levels above my LG V20 phone. Based on my experience, I can say that the sound quality is exceptional.
The sound quality of Qudelix is better than any other product I have used.
