The power and gain of this headphone-amp are adequate for any IEM and for a good majority of any headphones on the market, but there are limitations. The low gain is extremely clear and focused, and high gain is just a touch more warm and smooth.
I have found that this device drastically enhances the sound of my higher oHm headphones in a good way. I also use the high gain for my 250 oHm headphones and lower gain for my lower oHm cans that don't require as much power output.
