The sound quality is spot on with DAC through the usb-c port. I have tested it with several generic headphones, the Moondrop Aria and Chu, the Jade Audio EA1, and Hifiman he400se and Sundara. All sound amazing with this amp and they all have enough headroom if I want to even go louder.
Using headphones with my turntable has improved the sound quality amazingly.
