About FiiO BTR7 Headphone Amp Bluetooth Receiver High Resolution Portable DAC
Overall Feedback:
89% positive
73% liked the solid build quality
The headphone-amp has a sleek design, compact form factor, and robust build.
The product has a premium feel with glass panels and a color display, and its build quality is very good.
The headphone-amp's build quality feels good with its metal and glass construction. It comes with a free case and looks sexy.
82% appreciated the seamless connectivity
The headphone-amp ensures a seamless connection with a wide range of devices as it is compatible with various Bluetooth codecs.
The sound quality is exponentially better than my true wireless options and 1000 times better than onboard headphone connections on PCs or cheapo USB C dongles when connected to tablets/phones.
65% found the noise floor and hum to be minimal
The headphones provide crystal highs without being screechy/sibilant and warm lows and rumbling sub-bass.
I can hear sounds that I previously couldn't while listening to my music, and songs that I've listened to hundreds of times sound better.
85% appreciated the ample power and gain
I can comfortably drive my HD6XXs with the amp's parametric EQ and enough power, even with heavy negative pre-gain (~-7dB) for EQ headroom and loudness normalization enabled.
If I set it up high, it's like a high gain switch itself.
The headphone-amps can power my cans.
89% praised for its crystal-clear sound
The sound quality of Fiios products has always been outstanding, and the BTR7 takes it up another notch. Its signature is clean, smooth, and satisfying, with no emphasized frequency ranges or audible distortion. It uses two quality ESS DAC chips, a quality clock source, and two THX-certified amplifier chips to produce an exceptionally clean signal, especially for a portable device.
The audio quality is impressive with a wide and expansive range.
I think this device is a great introduction to the audiophile world. It produces high-quality sound on various speakers and headphones, all in a portable package.
On average, the battery life is around 7-8 hours, which is more than my previous amp (sony pha-1a) could put out (about 4-5 hours).
