About Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Rubberized Sealant Spray Crystal Clear 14oz
Overall Feedback:
72% positive
66% praised for its strong adhesive, while 34% found it didn't hold well
I recommend using the hardware-sealer outside as it has strong adhesive strength and can stick to anything.
I suggest applying two medium thick coats of 1/16" rather than one heavy coat of 3/32-1/8" to avoid droopy appearance and runs. The hardware-sealer goes on thick.
I like the glue produced by the company, but it is of no use. This indicates poor adhesive strength.
I found that the product is not effective in sealing gaps as it is a thin, clear layer.
67% appreciated its fast drying time, but 33% had to wait too long
I followed the directions and applied several coats with 12-24 hours of curing between coats, allowing the product to dry properly.
The seal dries invisibly in 15 minutes.
The sealer dried with a whitish color, not clear.
66% appreciated its moisture resistance, but 34% found it let water in
The product holds water well and is virtually invisible. I tested it by filling and letting it stand for 24 hours without any leaks or seepage.
The product is virtually invisible, holds water well, and passed a 24-hour leak test without any issues.
I fixed the leak in the shower by spraying it down till it stopped seeping into the crack and letting it dry. Then I put on two more coats and waited for 5 hours.
I am hoping that the red on the signs does not fade as bad as my first sign did since the hardware-sealer is UV resistant.
68% found it easy to apply
As a younger grandma, I found it easy to apply the hardware sealant.
I was able to patch up the leaks in the ceiling with ease using this product and have not had any leaks since then.
The product effectively sealed the leaks in my garbage cans. It dried invisibly in 15 minutes and the seals were perfect after applying a second coat. I highly recommend it.
63% liked its flexibility, but 37% found it too rigid
The sealant perfectly matched the color of our standing seam roofing.
I bought the product expecting it to be similar to the flexseal, but it turned out to be different.
63% praised for its long shelf life, while 37% found it expired quickly
Every single can failed with issues like nozzle clogging, running out of propellent, shooting a stream instead of spray, or spitting out globs of sealant and making a terrible mess.
The product did not last even for a year on my concrete birdbath.
62% appreciated its wide temperature range, but 38% found it failed in extreme temperatures
I followed all the directions, including temperature range, but the spray comes out in a stream rather than a widely dispersed spray. This results in almost no coverage except for a thick line surrounded by tiny little dots of product, which means I have to use a lot to actually cover anything.
The hardware-sealer is easy to apply and it seals the paint to prevent lead paint chips/peels on the floor, ensuring safety for little ones.
