About LEUCHTTURM1917 - Medium A5 Dotted Hardcover Notebook (Black) - 251 Numbered Pages
74% highlighted the paper quality, although 26% found it thin
The paper is smooth and of high quality.
The paper is of high quality and smooth, but there is some ghosting where ink from the other side of the page is visible even when it hasn't bled through.
The paper is thin and lightweight, but it ghosts a lot.
The quality of paper in Leuchtturm notebooks has gone down. It is thin and shows bleeding and ghosting on the reverse side when using a 0.4 coleto black pen and Mildliners.

66% found the page layout useful, although 34% didn't
The book comes with a loose sheet that has lines on one side and a grid on the other, which can be placed below the page to guide.
I was happy with the dimensions of this notebook and the lay-flat page size, as I was looking for a specific page size.
The grid extends all the way down and across on both sides, except for the top half inch where the paper is blank.
The dot grid layout has changed and there is no margin on the side or top of the page, with a larger margin at the bottom than it should be.

66% liked the ink compatibility, but 34% noticed smudging
My favourite fountain pen ink well, Sailor Jentle Yamadori, is compatible with the notebook.
The journal has acid-free paper with high ink compatibility to reduce bleedthrough. The pens aren't bleeding through to the other side.
The pages are thin and even with a regular ball point pen, I can flip the page and see what I have written.
I bought the product due to its ink resistance, but upon writing in it, I found that some markers and pens will bleed through and ghost.

68% liked the cover durability
The cover is sturdy enough to keep the pages from folding even when I toss the journal everywhere from my purse, to my car, to my backpack.
The notebook cover is very sturdy and can withstand a bit of a beating.
The cover is a bit battered due to frequent usage in a few weeks.
The hard cover is great as it keeps everything in great shape without falling apart. Some of my soft covers fell apart from constant use.

The elastic band is very handy to keep the book closed and protect the pages while carrying the book bag randomly.
The closure band of the notebook has never lost its elasticity even after using it for over two years.
The elastic closure has not lost its elasticity even after using it several times a day.
I have used it several times a day and there is no sign of it becoming slack or losing its elasticity.
