I have found that the paper in the hardcover-executive-notebooks has just the right thickness and works well with most pen types. Most importantly, it doesn't bleed through, which has been a major issue for me with most notebooks I have used. Based on my experience with other notebooks, I can confidently say that this is a positive review expressing my satisfaction with the ink compatibility feature of these notebooks.
I have found that the journal paper handles everything extremely well without any ink bleeding through. It also offers a very smooth surface for my fountain pen.
