I charged the new unit for 24 hours and ran it all around the house, garage and car interior until the battery expired. My iPhone timer went about 13 minutes before it started to sound like it was slowing down, and right at 14 minutes it turned itself off. The battery life of this handheld-vacuum is about 13 minutes per charge.
The second vacuum has better battery life and is lighter in weight.
