About Garmin RV 895, Large, Easy-to-Read 8 GPS RV Navigator
83% praised for its pinpoint accuracy, but 17% experienced occasional errors
I tested the GPS unit on a 2,000 mile road trip and found it to be accurate and perfect in its functioning.
When driving with it beside Waze, I've noticed that the GPS unit is only about 60% accurate with speed limits.
83% appreciated its long-lasting battery, but 17% found it drained quickly
I am generally pleased with the purchase.
I did not mention anything about the battery life of my handheld GPS unit.
If I had not stopped at all, the Garmin would have been the most accurate.
The GPS unit randomly takes calls from my Android cell phone while I am on a call, muting my phone so I have to hang up and redial.
95% liked the clear display, but 5% found it hard to read in bright light
The screen of my GPS unit is large and crystal clear.
I have noticed that navigating through different settings on this handheld GPS unit can be frustrating. The settings for screen brightness, POIs, volume, and Bluetooth controls are scattered and difficult to find. Additionally, I have not been able to figure out how to set POIs to show up on the driving map after removing them. Quick adjustments to screen brightness are also inconvenient. Overall, using this device can be irritating.
89% found the interface intuitive and easy to use, but 11% found it confusing
I am delighted with the graphics, interface and information available on my GPS unit.
The GPS user interface is typical of GARMIN.
The user interface takes some time to get used to, but being familiar with Garmin gives me a slight edge.
